I only recently found my love of making props, but as you can see, I am going full steam ahead! Expect to see more props show up here, either from commissions I do or props I make for myself.

I am also more than happy to help/give tips on prop making to those that wish to make their own!

Interests
Figured I would do a pre-con journal, so here it is.  First my cosplay schedule (which could change, but this is my current plan):

Friday Morning - Syoaran (one from last year)
Friday Afternoon - Syoaran (Dragon Knight [new])
Friday Evening - Ciel Phantomhive then swap to Syoaran

Saturday Morning - Ciel Phantomhive
Saturday Afternoon - Gray Fullbuster
Saturday Evening - Gray Fullbuster then swap to Ciel later in the evening

Sunday - Gray Fullbuster

I do plan to go skating as Ciel Friday, so for those that wish to see that or come along, let me know!  I can send a text to those that wish to know when I'm heading over that way.  It will most likely be late afternoon/early evening on Friday.  I will be bringing my own skates. :P

As for photo shoots, I plan to go to the Fairy Tail shoot at 11am on Saturday and the Black Butler shoot at 2pm on Saturday.  If people would like to meet up for some impromptu photos let me know!

Overall, I am really excited about A-Kon this year and can't wait to see everyone again!

Still reading?  Cause there's a bit more :P

I am also planning to do Lelouch's Emperor's outfit as my next new outfit.  Might have it ready in time for AFest, but we'll see. :o

And some prop updates.  I am currently working on Gray Fullbuster's Ice Cannon which will be done in time for A-Kon, pics here: [link] am also working on Card Captor Sakura's bird head wand.  You can see progress pics of the wand here: [link]

Hey I know you are supersupersuper busy, but I was hoping to get a quick opinion!

So I'm doing a cardcaptor Sakura cosplay over the summer, and my friend assisted me in making the bird staff.

We used sculptey and the head turned out smaller than it should be. Is there any way to fix this? (The wings are not yet attached)

I would really really love any advice you can throw at me. Thank you so much!

That is an oven bake clay correct? Since you probably will not want to bake it again, I would probably recommend using paperclay. I would take some paperclay and roll it out nice and flat to the appropriate thickness you need and then cut it up and layer it on top of the head that is already created. Then just let it dry out. Like scupltey it will shrink as well, but since it is being placed over it like a cover it should retain it's shape. It may crack a bit, but you can easily fill in the gaps afterwards with either more paperclay or just simple glue.
