So after working on this sword off and on for the past 2 months, it is finally complete! I am extremely happy with how the whole thing turned out. This is my 2nd time making a sword completely out of wood and my first time doing a wooden scabbard.

The sword is about 50 inches in length total. The sword + scabbard weigh about

Materials Used:
MDF
Styrene
Zinc Rod
Poplar Dowel
Wooden Toy Wheels
Tap Plastics Liquid Plastic Resin (jewels)
Leather
Upholstery pins/tacks
Picture Frame hook
Black Felt
Bondo
Smooth Cast 320 (to help seal some gaps after bondo)
E-6000 Glue
Wood Glue

Tools Used:
Bandsaw
Random Orbit Sander
Heat Gun to shape styrene
Table Saw
Mini-Lathe

I've been considering make a replica of Roto's Sword for cosplay and yours turned out great from what I can see!

My only concern are the runes on the blade: From what I can tell they translate to "jakd evorh" (some of the runes are hard to make out, so I could be mistaken) using the Elder Futhark runic system. Here's a link to the converter I used. [link]

Is that right? I want to do it correctly, with the official inscription for the sake of authenticity, so I figured I'd ask. :)
